Some smart guy will tell you a 40% close rate is “good.”
They’re not wrong…
But that means 6 out of 10 humans you talk to just told you “no.”
Six. Out. Of. Ten.
So if you’re trying to grow a B2B business…
and you’re only chatting with 5 prospects a month…
Good luck trying to grow.
You’ll get 1 client per month… if you’re lucky.
Here’s the truth nobody wants to say:
Loud person with a shitty offer
VS.
Quiet person with incredible offer, brand, and perfect systems
Who wins?
… the loud person, every time.
But you know what’s really interesting?
The person pushing volume naturally improves their offer, brand, and systems.
It just happens.
It’s not a requirement or the thing that matters most.
Sounds weird, but it should make you really excited…
Because winning is a lot easier than you think.
Chase volume and all the other good things follow.
What do I mean by volume?
New chats with new humans every single day.
Not “when you feel like it.”
Not “when the kids are asleep.”
Not “after I finish this client project”.
Every. Single. Day.
I had a client stuck at 20k a month for almost two years.
Smart guy. Great offer. Killer case studies.
But he was having maybe 5 sales chats a month…
We bumped him to 15.
Same offer. Same pitch. Same guy.
A few months later, he hit his first 70k month.
Nothing changed except the number of mouths he was talking to.
That’s the whole game in one little story.
So the question then becomes…
How the heck do you start those chats daily?
Without losing your mind, or worse…
End up on YouTube trying to learn about lead gen,
but end up watching a guy build a tiny log cabin with a spoon instead…
So I’ll tell you, there are 3 ways that work stupidly well for me and my clients:
Way one. The Nine-Word Email.
Yep. Nine little words, sent to old leads who said “not now” months ago.
Something like: “Hey Steve, are you still looking to grow sales?”
You’ll be shocked how many old leads come crawling back like a lost puppy that finally smelled the treats.
Way two. Social outreach.
LinkedIn is the winner here. People show up to LinkedIn ready to do business.
My reply rates on LinkedIn? 30 to 40 percent.
On other apps? 5 to 10 percent.
The problem? You’re quickly capped by daily limits.
Way three. Meta ads with a VSL.
The king. The boss. The big dog.
You wake up. Leads are there.
You eat lunch. More leads.
You snooze. Leads still rolling in.
You can do one of these. You can do all three.
But the rule stays the same:
New chats. Every day.
Like brushing your teeth.
Because the folks crushing it right now aren’t smarter than you.
They aren’t even working harder.
They’re just having more conversations than you.
