Delegating tasks is one of the easiest ways to gain back 🕑
If you don’t yet have a team or an assistant, I highly encourage you to onboard a Virtual Assistant.
The beautiful thing about VA’s — They’re often only looking for part-time work and are willing to work on an as-needed basis.
Here are 5 of my favourite tasks to delegate:
Example: Schedule & reschedule appointments or activities.
Access Needed: Google Calendar
Example: Report on the 10 largest local moving companies, what they’re charging, and how busy they are.
Access Needed: N/A
3. Social Media Posting
Example: Edit video recordings, create platform-specific versions, and post them on social.
Access Needed: Social accounts + Video editing tool
4. Sales & Customer Support
Example: Handle inbound leads, enter them into the system, and conduct follow ups.
Access Needed: Phone system + CRM
5. Upload Business Expenses
Example: Email business-related expenses to a shared email account so they can be clarified and uploaded to the bookkeeping software.
Access Needed: Shared email account + Bookkeeping software
Obviously these are just some of the many ways to leverage VA’s…
If you don’t think you can delegate or outsource a particular task or project, it’s likely because you don’t trust the systems in-place, or you haven’t clearly clarified the project or task.
When you have a well-working system, processes are able to be executed by anyone, at the right time, regardless of experience and expertise. I strongly believe that people don't fail... Systems do (more about this here).
Go ahead and try it:
- Start with a brain dump of all the repetitive tasks that you’re currently doing
- Document the process
- Clarify the necessary tools/access
- Communicate what success looks like to your assistant, and delegate
See you all next Thursday 👋
