When founders ask me, “Should I fix my site?”
My answer always makes them blink twice:
“No”
I can already hear your inner marketer screaming from here.
You probably spent weeks picking the perfect shade of blue for your “Book a Call” button.
But here’s the cold, pixelated truth…
If your website isn’t getting a lot of traffic, polishing it won’t make a difference.
You can’t optimize what no one’s visiting.
It’s like painting a store in the middle of a desert… looks great, but tumbleweeds don’t convert.
Plus… you need traffic to know if the change was even positive…
Let’s pop this debilitating myth:
You don’t need a fancy website to make a lot of money…
So what do you actually need to create a printing machine?
More conversations with prospects…
Because when you’re doing outreach, YOU are the website.
You sell them via convos in the DMs, emails, and calls (sales calls).
Does it ever make sense to “improve” your site?
Yes, if you’re driving big views from
→ SEO
→ content
→ paid traffic
But even then, don’t waste time fluffing your About page like it’s your high school resumé.
You’ll want to send visitors to:
→ a landing page that sells one thing clearly, or
→ a blog post that builds trust and authority
Those are intentional and actually move the needle.
Spending weeks “fixing” little things that feel like progress is all too common…
It’s really procrastination in disguise.
My point here is,
don’t let the small stuff stop you from growing, like having an imperfect site.
If leads are what you want, focus more on:
→ more content
→ more outreach
→ more advertising
