Content without a plan is going to burn you out (I’ve been there).
Sorry, but I have to keep hammering this to make sure it sticks…
The purpose of content is to presell your audience and start more conversations with prospects.
And please don’t tell me you’re creating content for fun.
If there’s no end goal, I guarantee you will burn out like Season 2 of House of Dragon…
More like House of Boring, I’m I right?
Oh yeah, back to the point of content (so you don’t burn out).
By end goal I mean, a way to make real moolah and create impact (real impact).
I saw someone post on LinkedIn the other day saying they create content because they enjoy uplifting others.
Look, real uplifting happens when you have a perfect offer that solves a burning problem.
One that they want to pay the big bucks to fix.
Once you fix those problems, that’s when (both) parties experience real transformation.
What I’m saying is, don’t create content for the sake of creating content.
Because as I said, you’ll burn out, and you’ll learn to hate something as powerful as content creation (when done well).
Here’s what you should do instead…
- clarify your perfect client
- clarify your perfect offer
Then, create content around these two and understand that the purpose of content is to start more conversations with potential clients.
Target → Offer → Content → Conversations
= impact + 💰
If you create content without the other 3 (super important) variables, you’ll come and go like so many brands and creators do.
Because you won’t get a return on your time or money.
So you’ll stop.
And you will have missed out on the huge opportunity of social media.
Don’t confuse content with the end goal.
Content ≠ End goal 🔨🔨🔨
