You ever close a new client and get immediately overwhelmed with everything you have to do?

Automating your client onboarding is one of the easiest (and super high ROI) things you can do.

Because…

2. It helps with buyer’s remorse and lowers churn

→ No team of Silicon Valley interns

Just a simple system that turns new clients into raving fans (no matter when they sign up).

While you’re off doing anything else…

Sleeping, golfing, working on a client project, or the million other things you regularly do.

This is (very) important, because early on, timing is everything.

Let me give you the blueprint that works for 97% of online service businesses like yours:

Step 1: Start with a Stripe sign-up link

Payment should be the magic trigger for this process.

Step 2: Payment triggers a proposal

Not always necessary, but if you need formal paperwork, this is where you drop it.

Tools like PandaDoc or DocuSign can automate this step without sweat.

Step 3: Signed? Send the onboarding email

This is the money shot. The onboarding email should be automatic and crystal-clear.

Something like…

→ “Hey [First Name], congrats on taking the first step toward [desired outcome] — here’s what’s next...”

→ A simple breakdown of what’s coming in Week 1

→ A link to schedule their kickoff call

Step 4: CRM gets updated

Once they’re in? Your CRM should tag them as Active Client.

No more sticky notes. No more mental checklists.

You now have a client database that actually works for you.
