Productivity is determined by how you prioritize.
It's what you work on, not how much you work…
There’s an unlimited number of ways you could spend your time and stuff you could work on.
The question is, is it going to make significant progress toward your goal?
Most often, the answer is no.
The solution is clarity. Being able to confidently know what’s important so you can prioritize.
Here’s my 3-step process to prioritize and achieve real productivity:
➡️ 1. Brain Dumps
List out everything that your brain is currently juggling. This will feel like a huge relief.
➡️ 2. Vision & Clarity
What are your goals? (Both personal and work-related)
If you don’t know what’s important for the next 30 days, then prioritizing becomes impossible.
Having clarity makes everything else easier. Don’t be afraid to spend the necessary amount of time time clarifying, and add additional ideas or thoughts to your brain dump.
➡️ 3. Critical Vs. Impactful
You can begin to prioritize by identifying everything that is critical — Projects or tasks that are time sensitive and have negative repercussions.
Secondly, identify all of the projects or tasks that are impactful — The few that will ACTUALLY get you closer to your goals.
Everything else is Fugayzi Fugazi… ✨
Now that you’ve identified everything worth prioritizing you can get actionable.
I recommend you schedule in your calendar blocks of uninterrupted time to work on these projects.
Go ahead and try it:
- Do a brain dump
- Clarify the goals
- Prioritize what’s critical and impactful
