A lot of founders make this rookie mistake when they start posting online:
They think strangers will storm their DMs like Black Friday shoppers at Walmart…
…begging to buy whatever they’re selling.
I wish it worked like that. I really do.
But it doesn’t.
We’ve been posting daily on multiple platforms for years.
And here’s the cold, unsalted truth:
Only 21% of our leads have come from inbound.
(And that’s actually good compared to most.)
Not bad. But not “let’s-pop-the-champagne” levels.
We’ve seen this even with clients rocking 300k+ followers.
Where inbound leads are only a small piece of the pie.
More than you and I combined, sure.
But not enough to pay their bills or maintain growth.
Yet we all continue to post content anyway…
on multiple platforms…. every week…
Including this newsletter.
Why?
Because we’ve learned the truth:
→ Content doesn’t create leads
→ Content supports your lead gen
→ Content builds trust after you start the conversation
It’s what makes a prospect think…
“Okay… this person isn’t just making stuff up. They actually know their thing.”
Significantly increasing conversions and LTV.
So yes — post your content.
But don’t solely rely on it.
Pair it with something active:
→ Ads
→ DMs
→ Cold emails
→ Offers to your list
→ Carrier pigeons if you must
Because posting with no outreach?
That’s like fishing with no bait.
See you all next Thursday đź‘‹
