The tools and softwares I mention in this post have been tested over time, and continue to play a vital role in my day-to-day 👇
Table of Contents
Finance
Mint
Mint integrates with all my banks, credit cards and investments. It allows me to see all my finances in one place 😅
Oh, and it's free.
Xero
Xero is the online bookkeeping software I’ve been using for all my businesses, which I’ve found much more intuitive than the leading competitor, Quickbooks.com.
Communication
Superhuman
I used to use Spark until I was invited to try Superhuman. It's amazing at helping you achieve inbox 0 quickly with tons of shortcuts. It isn't free like Spark, but it's helped me spend less time on email.
YouMail
Every time I get a voicemail, I get an email with the voicemail recording attached... And it's free!
I love this tool because no missed call or voicemail goes unnoticed. It's also super helpful when I'm travelling and I don't have my phone signal on but I'm still aware of who called.
Loom
This is my favourite screen recording software.
Macbook Plugins
Better Snap Tool
"BetterSnapTool allows you to easily manage your window positions and sizes by either dragging them to one of the screen's corners or to the top, left or right side of the screen. This enables you to easily maximize your windows, position them side by side or even resize them to quarters of the screen."
Flycut
Have you ever hoped you could copy and paste multiple things at once? This is what this allows you to do!
I can't imagine not having this anymore.
Security
1Password
1Password is an amazing password tool and plugin. I use this for companies and personal use. It also allows you to create vaults that can be shared with others.
Not having to change passwords or create new accounts for new hires or subcontractors is super convenient.
Express VPN
I use Express VPN to protect my data when I'm travelling or using public WiFi networks.
Workspaces/Databases
Notion
I can go on forever about Notion...
I run my companies on Notion. I use it to manage projects, delegation, organize company resources, and it has amazing document sharing capabilities. I also use it to manage my own personal life.
Notion is like a powered up Google docs ⚡️.
Airtable
Between Notion and Airtable... What else do you need?
Airtable is an amazing customizable database software which I currently use as a CRM for multiple businesses. Airtable is like a powered up excel sheet ⚡️.
Whimsical
This is where we brainstorm and plan.
Whimsical is a Swiss army knife — It allows you to design wireframes, conduct mind maps and create process flows. It's also great for collaboration.
iCloud Notes
Notes is my daily planner, and my place to capture thoughts, questions, ideas, etc.
Scheduling
Calendly
This software integrates with my calendar, so it allows me to share a link with others so they can asynchronously schedule a call with me.
Automation
Zapier
Zapier allows me to integrate different softwares.
For example, when you fill out one of the forms on my website (an Airtable form) it automatically also adds you to my email marketing software.
The possibilities are endless.
Cloud Storage
Google Drive
I've tried Dropbox, Box, iCloud etc. Google Drive continues to be my favourite online cloud storage software.
Bonus
Chwazi
Need to randomly make teams or choose who will pay for dinner? Touch the screen and the choice will be made.
