The internet is flooded with productivity hacks.
A lot of them are great (in principle) but impossible to maintain.
Particularly if you try to do all “11 things billionaires do every morning” in one go.
I know because I’ve tried most of these tips and tricks. I’ve been studying personal productivity (intensively) for nearly 10 years. Books, documentaries, courses, coaches, podcasts, groups, etc.
There’s a lot of amazing stuff out there, but most of my productive output comes from 3 simple habits.
If you only implement these, you’ll be ahead of most and maintaining them won’t feel like an uphill battle:
1. Capture Bucket
A single place to easily capture ideas, tasks, questions, or other thoughts that you can process later.
2. Projects List
One list to manage all of my tasks and projects that I can easily reference and prioritize from.
3. Weekly Goals
Once per week I look at my projects list and pick 3-5 goals for the week.
That’s it.
These three alone are responsible for much of my progress and success.
A place to quickly unload my brain and a list of active projects that I can reference and prioritize on a weekly basis. Everything else I do is a bonus, but these are non-negotiable.
Don’t overcomplicate it.
Keep off-loading your brain, get clarity, and make progress one week at a time.
See you all next Thursday 👋
