There are exactly 100 things wrong in your agency or consulting biz right now.
Your homepage sucks.
Your sales calls feel like hostage negotiations.
Your onboarding doc looks like it was made in 2007.
And that “rebrand” you started in Q1?
Still “in progress.”
But here’s the thing…
There’s no point in beating yourself up, because most of it isn’t actually slowing you down…
They’re way less important than you give them credit.
The real problem is that we try to fix everything
at once…
And it took me almost 10 years to learn this:
(understanding it has made growing my business a lot easier)
Every single “fix,” “upgrade,” or “project” you want to do...
MUST solve ONE of these 3 business-killers:
- Not enough leads
- Leads aren’t buying
- You can’t take on more clients (ops are maxed)
That’s it.
That’s the game.
If what you’re working on doesn’t directly punch one of those problems in the face?
Scrap it. Burn it. Archive it in Notion and forget it exists.
Ok, that’s the first part.
The second is knowing which of those 3 is slowing you down most.
And then only working on projects that solve that.
Here are some common examples:
→ If you’re low on leads, stop redesigning your website.
(without traffic, it's not going to grow the biz)
→ If conversions are low, fix your offer and call flow.
(forget about more leads)
→ If ops are slammed, don’t run another campaign.
(you’ll just drown faster)
If you don’t follow the process of
only working on projects that directly impact your biggest bottleneck,
you either fully plateau or slow down growth big time.
So next time you want to “fix something” in the business, ask:
Which of these 3 monsters am I slaying?
And if the answer is either “none” or “not the biggest blocker”
put the sword down and go solve the real bottleneck.
Less is more.
And you should be relieved about that.
